Certificate-based Authenticator with On-board Encrypted Flash Memory

UniMate Drive is a secure mass storage dongle, with driverless smart card authentication. UniMate Drive offers a complete solution for storage of your files in regular plug-and-play flash and read-only storage across two partitions, in addition to smart card authentication. Smart card technology allows for highly robust authentication and verification solutions.

Two Unique Partitions

Control how your data is accessed with two partitions. Each partition is re-sizable and formatted with provided tools for full control over your UniMate Drive.

Normal Partition

The Normal Partition functions as normal storage of data.

Virtual CD (read-only) Partition

The Virtual CD Partition functions as read-only access of data on the partition.

Smart Card Authentication

UniMate Drive is also a two-factor authentication token. It takes advantage of what is known in information security as “Something You Know” and “Something You Have”. Both the correct password with the correct UniMate device is needed to successfully complete the authentication process. UniMate Drive features the ability to generate encryption keys and store passwords, digital certificates and personal credentials within the key.

The UniMate Drive SDK provides libraries for MS-CAPI, PKCS#11 and much more.

Multiple international standards and PKI systems are supported including FIPS 140-2 algorithm certified, RSA for USA/Europe, ECC for DSTU and ECC/SM for China, with future support for more.


Partitionable Mass Storage

UniMate Drive contains mass storage categorized into two different partitions: Normal and Virtual CD-ROM, modifiable for the needs of the end user.


Two-Factor Authentication

UniMate Drive is a two-factor USB authentication device implementing a challenge and response system. Authentication requires the correct password as well as the UniMate Drive device to complete the authentication process, considerably increasing the difficulty to falsify a user’s identity.


Multifaceted Secure Authentication

Use for secure web authentication in ASP, PHP, and HTML, as well as network and local login.


Smart Card Based

Utilizes 32-bit smart card technology enabling smart card based authentication, with the ability for fast generation of RSA key pairs.


On-Board Encryption

Encryption and decryption processes take place on-board the device, minimizing the risk of performing the process locally on the host computer.


Non-Repudiation Digital Signing

Offers non-repudiation digital signing and storing of transactions and documents through PKI technology, ensuring the authenticity of electronic transactions.


Multiple Algorithms Employed

Makes use of several industry-approved encryption algorithms including AES, DES, 3DES and hashing algorithms MD5 and SHA-1.


Secure File System

Secure file system for storage of digital credentials and files using a three-level permission system.


Self-Lock Capability

Ability to automatically self-lock the device after a set limit of maximum logon attempts has been reached.



UniMate Drive is driverless; there is no need to install any drivers.


Unique Global Hardware and Modifiable Software ID

Employs both a unique global hardware ID and user-defined 16-bit device name for identification of UniMate Drive devices


Three Level Permission System

Implements a three-level permission system: Administrator, User, and Guest, in order of most to least privileges determining the functions that can be performed with the token.


Encrypted Credentials

Credentials are encrypted and stored on the device and cannot be exported.


Cryptography Standards Compliant

Supports MS-CAPI, PKCS#11, X.509 certificate and smart card minidriver standards.


API Support

Extensive array of APIs available for integration with authentication applications and processes without the need to modify any existing code.
