Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication requires the correct password as well as the appropriate UniToken device to successfully complete the authentication process. UniToken allows generation of encryption keys and storage of passwords, digital certificates and personal digital credentials within the key, enabling safety and simplicity in secure authentication.

State-of-the-Art Cryptography

UniToken follows best industry practices and employs only well-established and thoroughly tested cryptographic algorithms. Passwords and credentials stored on UniMate are hardware encrypted by means of various encryption algorithms.

Highly Secure Implementation of PKI

PKI keys and digital certificates can be securely generated, stored and used on UniToken device – the sensitivity of private keys never leave the device and hence cannot be exposed to the external environments.

On-Board 1024-bit and 2048-bit RSA Key Generation

UniToken generates and stores RSA 1024-bit and 2048-bit RSA keys on-board. This ensures maximum protection by the use of encryption ciphers. Unlike with software-based encryption, which loads keys on local memory and stores keys on the host’s local storage, UniToken encryption keys are never stored or loaded onto the host’s computer, consequently avoiding being compromised through methods such as Cold Boot attacks or other exploits.

Separate Permission Levels

UniToken has two distinct levels of permission: Token Administrator and Token User. Employing two separate permission levels allows flexibility in the usage and administration of UniToken devices, appropriately enforcing the separation of duties and avoiding compromises with elevated levels of authorisation with end users.

VPN Security

UniToken provides seamless integration with VPN systems, enabling strong authentication to highly sensitive remote access of networks. UniToken supports multiple VPN authentication methods including PKCS#11 and digital certificates.
